Adult day services

Adult day centers provide a group setting for adults needing assistance or companionship away during certain hours of the day. These facilities are a safe place for people who cannot be left alone during the day because of physical or mental limitations. Services often include social activities, meals, personal care -- and sometimes transportation.  Adult day centers generally operate during normal business hours five days a week although some programs offer services in the evenings and on weekends.

To learn more or to find the adult day services near you, contact your Family Caregiver Support Program.
